Auckland Transport (AT) staff are back in their waterfront headquarters after being evacuated on Monday afternoon.
Police say they were called at 1pm to reports of a suspicious item being left at reception.
Cordons were put in place and the building was evacuated as a precaution.
AT said staff were now back inside, and police said the location had been cleared.
