Vegetation falling onto lines was the cause of this morning's outage in West Auckland, according to power company Vector.
Parts of West Auckland were without power from about 10.20am Tuesday.
The electricity company's outage map showed areas in Bethels Beach, Huapai, Waitākere, Swanson and Henderson Valley were without power.
Later on Wednesday, Vector said power had been restored to the majority of affected customers.
Crews remain on site in the Massey area, where a small number of customers are still without power.
A spokesperson said the power company is completing final repairs and expect power to be restored later on Wednesday.
