A group of seven people have been arrested in Pukekohe after an assault at a petrol station last year.
Police were called to a petrol station on Edinburgh Street on 18 December to reports of about 10 gang members attacking a man from a rival gang and his partner.
Officers have been investigating since the attack, and this week have arrested five men, one woman, and a young person.
They face charges of assault with intent to injure, and have appeared in Pukekohe District Court.
Drugs and guns were also found during the arrests.
Police said further arrests and search warrants are expected.
"We are asking people who videoed the offending or who witnessed it to contact Police," Detective senior sergeant Rob Hunkin said.
"Any information will assist in progressing our investigation further to locate those we have not yet located."
