Auckland Art Gallery closed on Sunday after a leaking pipe was discovered on the second floor.
A statement online announced the gallery and cafe would be closed while a safety assessment was carried out, "after which time we hope to provide more information," it said.
"The safety of the collection, staff, and visitors are the gallery's top priority, and we are taking precautionary measures to ensure the building and collection are safe.
Margaret Young, Tātaki Auckland Unlimited's acting director, said the gallery's heritage restoration project was unaffected.
"The gallery team apologises for any inconvenience
"Ticket holders for Olafur Eliasson: Your curious journey can reschedule their visit or receive a full refund."
Three Auckland Pride Festival events meant for Sunday, Queer Zinemaking, Queer Yarns, and Theytriarchy - were also cancelled and would be rescheduled at a later date, she said.
