The chair of the Accident Compensation Corporation has resigned.
The government in March last year confirmed plans to reappoint Tracey Batten for a further three-year term ending in 2027.

"I acknowledge her decision to step down and thank her for her commitment to supporting better outcomes for New Zealanders. I wish her well for the future," he said.
"ACC as an organisation is currently confronting a number of challenging issues, including significant financial challenges and concerns around the overall performance of the organisation."
He said he expected to announce a turnaround plan for the organisation in the next few months.
Batten's resignation takes effect from 11 June, with deputy David Hunt stepping in as interim chair.
