Born from a shared passion for songwriting and old soul 45s, Blake Rhein, Aaron Frazer and Durand Jones formed the group in 2012. Releasing 3 studio albums, and another live album, they toured the world bringing with them their unique blend of R&B, Soul and Disco.
Durand Jones & The Indications have carved a distinct space in today’s music scene. Blending melodic, gritty vocals, and timeless arrangements, the band channels so many of soul greats while forging their own fresh path. What began as a college basement project has blossomed into one of the most compelling acts in modern soul.
Having recently announced their new album Flowers, with a new single to boot, Maggie Tweedie sits down with the bands drummer and soprano Aaron Frazer, as well as guitarist Blake Rhein.
