Young Wellington singer Francesca Fagan is off to Poland to take part in the finals of the Stanisław Jopek International Singing Competition - one of only eight international finalists, and the only international contestant in her age category.
The competition is hosted by the Mazowsze National Folk Song and Dance Ensemble, one of Poland’s most highly regarded folkloric performing arts ensembles, with the finals taking place at Mazowsze’s headquarters on the outskirts of Warsaw.
Francesca Fagan came into the RNZ Concert studio to talk with RNZ Concert's David Morriss about the competition, and how she came to enter it.
