Bassoonist Todd Gibson-Cornish was helping his mother move into her new house in Cambridge when he first spotted the Waikato town's distinctive Town Hall.
"This would make a fantastic place to have a chamber music festival," he thought.
Five years on, and the inaugural Cambridge Chamber Music Festival is taking place this Friday.

Gibson-Cornish is co-directing the festival with his partner, viola player Amanda Verner, and they're joined by NZSO musicians Jessica Oddie and Ken Ichinose, along with the Argyle Trio in a series of concerts that blend well-loved classics with exciting new discoveries.
