An earthquake of magnitude 6.5 has struck south of the Fiji Islands, the United States Geological Survey said.
The quake on Monday was at a depth of 174km, USGS added.
Based on the depth of the earthquake, a tsunami was not expected, the US Tsunami Warning System said on its website..
