Broncos star Reece Walsh says he "doesn't support violence" after club bosses were left fuming over a video of their young gun punching a friend in the face that was uploaded to social media.
The video shows Walsh taking a swing at a friend while wearing a boxing glove, knocking the man to the ground.
"I was just having a laugh with my mate. Obviously we don't support violence and stuff like that but, yeah, it's not a good look for myself," Walsh said on the ABC's Today Show.
"We were all just trying to have a laugh and a good time with friends but obviously we don't support violence and all those kind of things."

Walsh posted — then deleted — the clip himself. He says it was “just a joke” with his best mate.

Club bosses were reportedly angry about the video being uploaded to TikTok, and Walsh said Broncos CEO Dave Donaghy had spoken to the Origin representative on Tuesday night.
"He was a bit disappointed in the post," Walsh said.
"I feel like I could ... [have chosen my actions] a lot better.
"I feel like I'm just having a laugh with my mate. And obviously putting it on social media, I know it's really important to try to keep those things away and I probably went a bit too far."
Walsh's friend said no harm had been done in the incident.
"Everything was for a laugh and nothing more ... we have mucked around like this our whole life," he wrote.
