Liverpool have moved just one win away from sealing the English Premier League title, after beating Leicester City 1-0.

SubstituteTrent Alexander-Arnold sealed the victory, scoring the only goal in the 76th minute, after the ball came to him in a goalmouth scramble.

The result condemned Leicester City to relegation, after just one season back in the top flight.

Liverpool could have wrapped up a record-equalling 20th English top-flight crown had Ipswich Town beaten Arsenal earlier, but the Gunners proved too good, easily winning 4-0 to keep the race alive, albeit barely.

Both teams have just five matches to play in their seasons, with Liverpool remaining 13 points clear at the top of the table.

Arsenal remain in good form, with Leandro Trossard scoring twice against Ipswich, while Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri scored the others.

Although Liverpool retain their dominant position, Trossard has not yet given up hope.

"We don't need to look at them [Liverpool], we just have to keep going like this and take it game by game," he said. "We want to win every game, but we know how tough it is in the league.

"A good win today and we just need to keep pushing going forward."

In other results, Manchester United slumped to a 15th loss of the season, as Wolverhampton Wanderers snatched a 1-0 win at Old Trafford, thanks to Pablo Sarabia's late free-kick on Sunday.

There would always be a comedown from Thursday's dramatic 5-4 Europa League win over Olympique Lyonnais, but their supporters still expected more than the one shot on target during a poor first half.

The disappointing result at home left Ruben Amorim's side 14th in the standings, with Wolves now level on points one place below.

Chelsea fought back to beat neighbours Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage and breathe life into their quest to secure a spot in next season's Champions League.

Chelsea scored twice in the last 10 minutes to win throughTyrique George and Pedro Neto, after Fulham's Alex Iwobi opened the scoring in the 20th minute.

Asked if Chelsea could go on to finish in the top five, Neto - who scored the winner in stoppage time - said: "I think it could be a big part of the season for us.

"We showed character. To be honest, I have no words.

"It is not easy to spend all season in the top four and we were out before this game. The character the team showed, we now need to think about Everton.

"The belief has always been there, even in the bad moments."

The victory ended an eight-game run without a win on the road for Chelsea, who last won away from Stamford Bridge in the English Premier League against Tottenham Hotspur in early December.
