The Black Caps were already safely through to the Champions Trophy semi-finals, but first faced an interesting match-up with India.

It had ramifications on what happened next: - win and they would face Australia. Lose, and they would be up against South Africa.

Play started late on Sunday at 10pm (NZ time) and finished just after 5am on Monday, with the New Zealand side falling short of India's modest total of 249/9, all out for 205 in the 46th over.
