The defending World Champions defeated the home team Canada in wet and trying conditions in Whitehorse, Yukon.
Canada got off to a strong start but a rain delay allowed the Black Sox to regroup after they trailed 9-2 early in the game.
An eight-run fourth innings powered the Black Sox past the Canadians 12-11.
The victory comes after the Black Sox were well beaten by Canada in their past two encounters.
Canada won their game in Vancouver 10 days ago 10-3 and also piped New Zealand 9-5 to take the 2015 World Championship.
