One person has been taken to hospital after a freight train and a truck collided in South Auckland this evening.
Emergency services were called to Kiwi Street, in the industrial suburb of Favona, at about 7.45pm.
One patient was taken to Middlemore Hospital in a minor condition, a spokesperson for Hato Hone St John said.
Fire and Emergency said it was also called to the crash, but nobody needed to be rescued.
Last month, a man was cut out of a car after a collision with a train near Rolleston in Canterbury. A week earlier, three people were taken to hospital after another car and train crash in Balclutha.
