An arrest has been made, after police negotiations with a person at an Auckland bottle store, after a report of a robbery there.
Officers were called to the block of shops at Northcote's Pearn Crescent, shortly before 6pm on Saturday.
A police spokesperson earlier said officers were talking to a person who remained at the scene.
No one had been injured, and no firearms were involved.
But by 8:45pm police said the incident had been resolved and one person was in custody.
An RNZ reporter outside the shops said more than a dozen police had earlier gathered outside Northcote Liquor, with some very concerned about what was happening.
At about 8pm she said at least eight police cars could be seen, and about 15 officers were working there.
The road had been cordoned off, but has been reopened.
