Police have found a man who fled after being arrested yesterday morning in Gisborne.
Sonny Kennedy was arrested at an address in rural Whakarau Road and handcuffed at the front of his body.
As an officer was walking the 36-year-old to a police vehicle, he ran off.
Police said the man was seen returning home about 11pm Wednesday and was arrested without any problems.
"He was cold but otherwise unharmed," Inspector Soni Malaulau said.
Police said charges are being considered.
