A patched gang member has been arrested in Auckland after tobacco pouches were stolen from stores in Clover Park.

Officers have been investigating after concerns were raised by retailers on Dawson Road.

Police also received two reports of theft from the same store earlier this month, where the offender stole a pack of tobacco and threatened staff.

They have arrested a 30-year-old patched member of the Killer Beez gang, charging him with three counts of shoplifting and a charge of threatening to kill.

He is expected to appear in Manukau District Court next week.
