Polie have confirmed the person who died in an ATV crash in rural Waikato on Sunday was a child.
Two other children were injured and hospitalised after the ATV rolled on a private property in Karapiro - one had serious injuries and another had moderate injuries.
The police said both children were now in a stable condition.
A man remained in hospital in a critical condition.
The police said they were providing support to the family at the centre of the tragic event.
