Footage sought after aggravated robbery in rural town

Police investigating an aggravated robbery at a business in the small Manawatū town of Marton are appealing for information and footage from the area.

About 10pm on Saturday 10 May a person entered a commercial premises on Broadway and threatened a worker with a weapon, police said.

The robber took cash, then fled on foot.

The employee was uninjured, but shaken by the hold-up.

Police would like to speak with anyone who could have seen the robbery or have information that could assist the investigation.

They are particularly interested to hear from anyone who might have security camera or dashcam footage from Broadway between 9:30pm and 11pm on Saturday.

Anyone with information was asked to call Police on 105, or to visit their Update Report page online at 105.police.govt.nz and quote file number 250511/1196. Information could also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, or on their website.
