A woman charged with throwing acid at a man with intent to injure in Wellington has been given interim name suppression.
A 51-year-old appeared in the Wellington District Court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody.
Emergency services were called to Sim Street in Johnsonville at 11pm Tuesday night, where a man got acid burns to his arm and clothing.
A woman was arrested at around 2am at a nearby address.
Fire and Emergency sent crews from six stations to assist police to remove a hazardous substance from a Kipling St property.
Her next court appearance is on 19 May.
