A person has died and another is in critical condition after a single-vehicle car crash in Canterbury.
Emergency services were called to Christchurch Akaroa Road near Little River about 10.40am on Thursday.
Two people were transported to hospital in a serious condition, where one died shortly after.
The other person is now in a critical condition.
The Serious Crash Unit have conducted a scene examination and a crash investigation is underway.
