A 20-year-old man charged over an email threat that sent Auckland's Waiuku College into lockdown on Wednesday has appeared in court.
Waiuku College was one of two schools named in an email threat sent overnight on Wednesday to a number of organisations, including RNZ.
A man and woman were taken into custody on Thursday.
The man, who has interim name suppression, appeared at the Manukau District Court on Friday.
He faces one charge of possession of a firearm, and another charge for possession of ammunition.
The man has been remanded in custody.
