Fire crews have been fighting a blaze on two boats in Tauranga Marina.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 1.20am Wednesday where they found the vessels ablaze.

At the height of their response, five fire trucks and three support vehicles were fighting the fire.

It's not clear if the blaze has been extinguished.

There have been no reports of injuries.

FENZ said police and St John had also been called to the scene.

They told RNZ both boats had been removed from the marina to hard standings.
