Rescuers have taken advantage of a break in the weather to retrieve the body of a Dunedin woman from Mitre Peak in Milford Sound.
Lynne Marie Osborne, 46, died on Monday after falling about 200 metres.
Ms Osborne was climbing with a male companion. He was not injured and has been flown out of the area.
Acting Senior Sergeant Wing-Wah Ng, of Invercargill, says a four-man team had to wait for a break in the weather before retrieving the body late on Tuesday afternoon.
The body has been taken to Invercargill for a post-mortem.
