A man has been charged after police were shot at in two separate towns on Monday night.

Police said the man fired shots at an officer in Foxton, fled to Feilding and again fired a shot at an officer there.
Police said he was injured when he drove into a parked patrol car, and was now in a stable condition in Palmerston North Hospital.
The 30-year-old has been charged with using a firearm against a law enforcement officer, unlawfully carrying a firearm and aggravated robbery.
He has been remanded in custody until 28 January.
