A man has moderate injuries after his ute crashed with a passenger train in Auckland this morning.

The crash happened on Taka Street in Takanini at 7.40am.
Police said cordons were in place and traffic was being diverted.
Auckland Transport said there are no passenger trains heading south from Takanini, but all services travelling north are running as normal.
Disruptions are expected.
