Police have identified a man whose body washed up on Muriwai beach near Auckland today - the second to be found on the beach this week.

A member of the public found the body at about 10.45am.
Police said he was a 66-year-old man, and they were now working to locate his next of kin.
The body has been recovered by police and a post-mortem will be carried out tomorrow.
Another body, found on Wednesday, may be that of a 24-year old man who went missing at Piha Beach a week ago.
