Official figures show strawberry prices fell 33 percent from October to November, which is the biggest drop in four years.
Last month strawberry prices averaged out at just under $4 for a standard 250 gram punnet.
Food prices in general fell a seasonally-adjusted zero point two percent in November.
Tomatoes were 18 percent cheaper than a year ago, when they cost $4.32 a kilogram.
Last year, bad weather affected the supply and pushed up the cost of crops.
Bananas were also in short supply in the past month because of a delayed shipment, causing a 17 percent jump in prices.
