Emergency services are responding to a serious crash in Mangatāwhiri, near the border between Auckland and Waikato.
Emergency services say they were notified of the incident at the intersection of Pinnacle Hill Road and State Highway 2 about 2.30pm.
Three people have been transported to Middlemore Hospital.
Hato Hone St John say one person is in a serious condition while the other two are in a moderate condition.
The road was closed between Avon and Koheroa Rds, with diversions in place, police said.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area and expect delays.
