The Cave of Winds

The Cave of Winds is about two NZ soldiers in Crete during World War 2. Wiri, and the badly wounded Prof, are 'holed up' in a mountain cave being cared for by Vasili and Sofia, a father and daughter team who are part of the Cretan resistance. The Germans have control of most of the island and are exacting brutal revenge on anyone found sheltering allied servicemen. Amid all the uncertainty and unknown to her father, a relationship blossoms between Wiri and Sofia. As the Kiwi pair await possible rescue German troops comb the countryside 'cleaning out' any stragglers.
