Donald Trump is unveiling the details of his global tariff plans -  so called "Liberation Day" - in a speech from the Rose Garden of the White House.

Nations all around the world - including New Zealand - have been on tenterhooks waiting to hear about the barrage of what he is calling "reciprocal" tariffs.

Donald Trump says he wants to "liberate" the US from a reliance on foreign goods, but nothing much has been known ahead of today about how the tariffs will be implemented and which of America's trading partners will be most affected.
