Changes coming for how content is classified

As we consume more and more of our content online, how that material is classified or rated has also had to change with the times.

Since 2021, some content providers have been able to self-rate their material according to guidelines set by the Classification Office, and the government is now considering expanding this to include other forms of media.

New Zealand's Chief Censor, Caroline Flora, says the self-rating system is working well, and that rating content is more important than ever.

She joins Emile Donovan.
