The White Stripes

From RNZ Music, 5:00 pm on 26 June 2007

The world's favourite candy-coloured kids, The White Stripes are just about to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their musical union, and with that milestone comes their sixth album, Icky Thump. Jack White has proved with this album that he's ready to take on the responsibility of bringing the blues to another generation of music lovers - albeit laced with country, metal, mariachi and bagpipes. The Music Mix's Kirsten Johnstone was given 15 minutes with Jack to mull over the new album.
