Marlon Williams first came to the attention of local music fans as the lead singer of Lyttelton country band The Unfaithful Ways around 2008, and he’s been the honey-voiced young buck alongside Delaney Davidson’s gravel-worn stallion for three albums of country songs.
Now resident in Melbourne, the 24-year-old has just released his self-titled solo debut, a diverse showcase of different styles, from country ballads, to lush 60s pop.
Kirsten Johnstone speaks to Marlon Williams about his early influences and inspiration.
