People are returning to homes and businesses in Northern Otago this morning, after severe weather led to flooding, forcing them to evacuate overnight.
Locals say roads are more like streams this morning, but they think they're through the worst of the weather.
Earlier, Waitaki District mayor Gary Kircher told us about half a dozen homes were evacuated in Omarama overnight due to flooding risk.
The Omarama Holiday Park was also affected.
