A fence blocking access across the Raglan Airfield to the beach is expected to be installed this week.
The Waikato District Council says the fence could prevent a serious accident.
But locals say it is not wanted nor needed.
One of those who's been protesting at the airfield is Raglan resident Ra Puriri.
