New Zealand is once again officially divided along Covid-19 lines.
The country south of Auckland is now in lockdown level three and police checkpoints at five locations on the city's southern boundaries have been running since 11pm on Tuesday.
Only those with exemptions to travel for essential reasons are getting through.
