The Regional Economic Development Minister, Shane Jones, says Air New Zealand should steer clear of politics. Yesterday Mr Jones criticised the airline for withdrawing from some regional routes. Air New Zealand chief executive Christopher Luxon responded this morning, telling Morning Report the airline's independence from the government has paid off and that's shown by the growth in regional passenger numbers.
