More than 200 jobs axed at Kinleith Mill

Paper mill workers in Tokoroa are reeling today after the owner of the Kinleith Mill confirmed 230 jobs will be axed from its paper division. Staff were called to the meeting at the mill this morning, with many workers too shocked to speak to media after the announcement. The paper mill close at the end of June, however pulp production will continue. Joe Gallagher is the E Tu Union Negotiator and spoke with Charlotte Cook.
