Government reveals border re-opening plan
The Covid-19 vaccination rollout is being brought forward, and home isolation is on the cards, as part of new settings needed for a limited reopening of the borders early next year. The Prime Minister announced a raft of changes this morning, including a new border entry system which will assess a traveller's risk from low to high based on where they're coming from and their vaccination status. Before then, the government will begin trials for vaccinated people to self isolate at home. Jacinda Ardern says the ultimate goal is quarantine-free entry for all vaccinated travellers.
