For many of us growing up Matariki and Puanga weren't taught in schools - unless you were lucky enough to be at a kura kaupapa Māori or have whānau with that mātauranga.
But there are some waiata from our childhoods that really stick with you and were great ways to learn new kupu / words.
Think the likes of.... "mā is white, whero is red.... kākāriki green"
Well - there are already a few waiata for kids related to matariki for seven stars... but there's a new one launching this year for matariki with 9 stars.
I started by asking the creator... Raewyn Harrison, to first talk me through her connection to education our tamariki over the past decade through Te Reo Tuatahi.
