Two Kiwi compete in online game Fortnite World Cup finals
It's the video game that popularised dance moves like the 'floss' and the 'hype' - and sparked fears of addiction among kids.
We're talking about Fortnite - the mutiplayer online shooter game that has about 250 million players worldwide.
This weekend, for the first time ever, the Fortnite World Cup finals will take place in New York - with the top 50 elite Fortnite Duo players competing for a share of a 30 million dollar prize pool. Two New Zealanders have qualified, and will represent New Zealand and the Warriors ESports team in front of an audience of more than 20 thousand people at the Arthur Ashe tennis stadium. They are 18-year-old Chris Hunt - called CoverH on the game, and 23-year-old Sam Pearson, known as Twizz. Ahead of travelling to the US, Sam spoke with Leilani Momoisea, and began by explaining how the prize pot is divided out.
