Opposition parties and protestors have come out in force - quite literally on the steps of Parliament - within hours of the coalition announcing a law change that will make it harder to pursue a pay equity claim. The furore over the government's decision to raise the threshold for proving work has been historically undervalued as part of a claim, has forced ministers to go on the defensive.
