$23m for Whānau Ora to support communities in lockdown

A $23 million funding boost has been announced to support whānau in dire need during the lockdown and the vaccination rollout.

Of the $23 million - $8.8m will go straight to the three Whānau Ora agencies.

Whānau Ora Minister, Peeni Henare, says the remaining money will be held back and distributed as the impact of the lockdown becomes clearer.
