As Pacific countries more and more eye the opportunities offered by agriculture Vanuatu last month brought farmers, scientists and politicians from around the region together in Port Vila.
One of those at the first ever Pacific Week of Agriculture was the chief executive of the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research, Andrew Campbell.
Professor Campbell has since been in Wellington and he told Don Wiseman about the prospects for a greater emphasis on agriculture in the Pacific.
