A Papeete school will reopen this week despite a surge in Covid-19 cases in French Polynesia.
The government released schedules for some Tahiti schools which in part will stay shut for the next week.

It is up to most schools individually to decide how to proceed.
The official infection tally in the latest wave of Covid-19 stands at 252 which is more than four times the number of cases in the first wave between March and June.
The alert level was raised on Friday as a result of the recent coronavirus propagation, with a record one-day spike of 46 cases.
The government said most Covid-19 cases were in Tahiti and Moorea, but one was now confirmed on Raiatea.
In mid-July French Polynesia abolished mandatory quarantine requirements for international arrivals to boost tourism.
However, the United States now discourages travel to Tahiti.
