Willie Mitchell's Royal Studios in Memphis, Tennessee were the home of the Hi label, which gave the world the best of Al Green and Ann Peebles.

Now bluesman, Robert Cray has gone to the studio to record his 18th studio album, his 23rd in total. But it's not just the studio as mere location, he's joined with members of the legendary Hi Rhythm Section for an album of originals and covers that effectively pays tribute to Memphis Soul.

William Dart works his way slowly to this new album by way of some tracks from Cray's earlier discs.
