The guzheng (also known as the Chinese zither) is a plucked string instrument that goes back more than two and a half thousand years. The modern version has 21 strings, movable bridges, and is mounted on a wooden body with a large, resonant cavity. it is played here by internationally renowned guzheng player Xia Jing who’s based in Tucson, Arizona
